These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PlantDNA mobile app ("App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
PlantDNA lets you take or select photos of a plant to receive an identification, general care tips, and general information about the plant. Identification is provided by third-party plant identification services and may not always be accurate.
Plant identification is probabilistic and can be wrong, especially from a single or unclear photo. Always independently verify a plant's identity using a qualified professional or trusted reference source before making decisions based on the result.
The App provides 10 free lifetime identifications. Additional identifications can be unlocked by purchasing scan credit packs. Credits are non-expiring and are linked to your App Store or Google Play account via RevenueCat. If you change devices or reinstall the App, you can recover your purchased credits by tapping "Restore Purchases" in the paywall screen. Free scan usage counters are tied to a device identifier and may reset on a new device.
If you purchased on iOS: purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, visit Apple's "Request a refund" page or use the Report a Problem feature in your purchase history.
You agree not to:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any harm resulting from reliance on plant identification or care information provided by the App.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
